1. Please tell us about your MINI(s). When did you get it? What Option Packages along with the Year, Model and Color.
This is our second MINI. The current one is an Absolute Black 2011 MINI Cooper S Countryman ALL4. It has basically all options except Navigation. We chose the Lounge Leather seats with a Polar Beige colourline. We also added the Aero Kit, Spot Lights, 19” JCW Wheels and custom stripes that are as close as we could find to Heritage or Classic Mini Surf Blue.
2. Why did you choose a MINI?
After having enjoyed a great Cooper S Clubman for the last three years, we were looking for something new when its lease expired. The Countryman was just introduced, and honestly, we were only luke warm about it when we first heard about it. After seeing it in person at the Calgary Introduction, we were starting to come around…
The Clubman was a great vehicle and fulfilled all of our space needs for a fun, weekend runabout for a family of four. We have come to realize that the Countryman checks all of the same boxes, but it just does so in a more comfortable way. The big difference is that the kids sit higher in the backseat as compared to the Clubman. They also like having their own doors. The additional space and assurance of all-wheel drive are just icing on the cake.
