I am going to order some Auto-Window up modules and Auto-top down module from FES-Auto.

This is a group buy to save on some shipping. I can also help install the product when they arrive.

Shipping for just the two modules I wanted is $21, so hopefully it won't change much with a few more.

I want to order them now, but will wait a few days for others to join in if interested. Basically these devices are for Gen 1 MINIs, and allow you to close your windows with one touch, or completely open the top on a cabrio with a couple of button pushes (instead of holding the button down to open the sunroof, then releasing and holding it again to open it the rest).

Hi all, I'm happy to support a group buy of any FES product. We learned the hard way about web site developement, so shipping to Canada is listed at nosebleed prices... Anyway, just contact me at mattr@fes-auto.com to arrange the combined shipping. I can get a lot of the circuits into a small flat rate box (USPS). If a lot sign up for stuff, the medium sized box will do! Also, to sweeten the deal, FES will give a 5% discount to anyone who participates in this group buy.

We've added some new products to the site as well, so take a look at the site and look at all the new things. Also, the V6 Ian Cull Auto-Up is going the way of the Dodo, to be replaced with the v7. It includes two output channels that can be used for accessory control (like the stealth mode accessory control on the Auto Sport+). They can also be configured for momentary operation (read garage door mode). There's also a piezo buzzer on it so that you get some feedback from changing the settings when it's all buttoned up in the dash.

In case you are wondering, they are working on a Gen 2 Cabrio auto-open module, and you can ask Dr. Obnxs about that. I would get one if I had a Gen 2 (2009+ cabrio).

Hi all,

We received our order last night (Mark give me a shout). They sent us an extra Top Commander for the gen 1 cabrios. I'll be installing mine soon, so if anyone want to purchase the other one, we can make a deal!

So this morning I took a few minutes to install the top commander. It was a really painless install that only took about 15 minutes. The hardest part was removing the switch panel to get at the connectors behind it.

Now that it is in, I can open the top completely with a quick double tap of the button. Same for putting it up. Works fantastic, and I recommend it.

I have a spare module if anyone wishes to also enjoy this simple convenience.
