Hi Guys.
I'm having trouble with this, a couple of times over the last 2 days. When I start my Mini I have no steering power at all, if I start over again it usually comes back.
Has anyone else had or heard of this problem??

What year is your car, Joan?
(The 2002-2006 have hydraulic/electric pumps, 2007 and on are strictly electric)

My coop is 2004.
I do have it scheduled to go into Crowfoot Mini on Monday, but have since learned that there are a couple other shops that also look after Mini's.
Do you know anything about them, or should I trust my coop to Crowfoot.???????

I've been very happy with Vitec and would recommend his shop for anything MINI.

That sounds like a problem with your power steering pump, which could have been caused by a seized power steering cooling fan -- common on 03-05 MINIs. Best have it checked out very soon.
Like miniDD, I will also vouch for Vitek's services if you're looking for an alternate shop.

Thanks all, I have spoken to Vitek today and am going to take it to him on Tuesday. Unless something happens and I end up being towed before then.
