I'm new into Calgary and i'm trying to find out some information about importing a classic mini from home (UK). Having looked at various websites it seems to be quite a complex procedure. Has anybody in this club imported a mini from the UK? Any help or information that anyone can shed on this subject will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Was driving an old PT Cruiser since graduation and decided it was time for a gift when she started leaking from every possible place. My name is Les. Two days ago I bought a 1980 Austin Mini 1300. It's black with a white roof and white strips on the bonnet. After over 10 years of searching I have finally found the classic Mini I have been looking for. Looking to learn alot, wrench alot and drive the Mini alot. The mini is in pretty good running condition with minimal rust (see profile picture).

Die hard classic fans may hate me for this but when the motor calls it quits, I plan to do a vtec swap into it as I have been working on Honda all my life.

I am excited to be part of the club.

I'm heading down in my 1964 Morris Estate Traveller. A friend from Edmonton is heading down to debut his recently restored Wolseley Hornet. This car is one of the 57 that Heinz bought and had Crayfords turn into convertibles, which were given away in a sweepstakes. As such it is a very rare and the level of detail for this restoration is incredible. That tall guy who makes all of the cool T-shirts at Dooderwear will fly in from Oklahoma and drive from Edmonton in an early Cooper S restored a few years ago. Bend is only 1300 km, so this isn't some sort of epic life changing road trip but rather two easy days; barely any 4 lane highway, very scenic.

Its the 24 to 70 mm f 2.8 that I am selling, I was sending another letter and then noticed that the numbers, of the LENS did not match..... YA the IS of the 70 to 200 is way way too much for me even to own. ..... these are now almost the same price...... i have the un image stabilized.
